The Truth About AI Color Analysis (And Why Your Light Deserves More)
A note before I begin;
I want to speak to something directly before I share the rest of this.
Like many of you, I was shocked and outraged by what came out in the recent CNN Motherless exposé. What was revealed is deeply disturbing: women being abused and violated by the very men who were meant to protect them.
My first reaction was visceral. Anger. Disbelief. Grief.
And I also knew… I didn't want to stay in that state.
I didn't want to live in outrage or feel powerless in the face of it. So I did what I guide my clients to do: I came back to center.
And I asked myself:
"What is my role here? How do I contribute in a way that is grounded, real, and aligned with my integrity?"
The answer was clear: I do it through my work. By empowering women to stand in their own authority. To love themselves and become self-led. To build lives, businesses, and identities that are not dependent on anyone else for validation, security, or survival.
This is my piece.
And from that place, I want to share something I've been observing in a very different space.
The Color Analysis Moment
Color analysis is having a very visible moment right now.
If you've been on social media recently, you've seen it, women uploading selfies, running AI prompts, and asking the internet:
"What colors suit me best?"
At first glance, it feels empowering. Like clarity. Like self-discovery. And in many ways, it is a step in the right direction.
Women are starting to understand that color matters... that what you wear doesn't just change how you look; it changes how you're perceived, how you feel, and how you show up.
But something is happening within this trend that no one is really talking about.
We've moved from self-recognition… to outsourced identity. From inner knowing… to algorithms and opinions.
Why Most AI Results Are Wrong
Here's the part that needs to be said clearly:
Most AI color analysis results are wrong.
Not because AI is "bad", but because it's fundamentally limited.
AI reads lighting. Contrast. Pixel data.
It does not read your energy. Your essence. Your inner light.
And that's where real harmony lives.
So what you're getting isn't true analysis. It's a visual approximation.
Now layer in crowdsourcing, hundreds of people voting on your face based on what they personally like. Not what's accurate. Not what's harmonious. Just preference.
And preference is not precision.
Why This Actually Matters
You're not just playing with colors for a day. You're choosing tones you will wear for years, colors that will either enhance your natural radiance or subtly work against it every single day.
When it's off, even slightly:
- Your light dims.
- Your power recedes.
- Your presence softens… in the wrong way.
This isn't about "looking good." It's about how your energy is perceived.
Most women aren't underdressed. They're misaligned.
And when the alignment is off, you start to internalize it. You think:
"Maybe it's me.""I just need X, Y, Z Botox, a facelift, whatever to look better."
When in reality: the analysis was wrong. Not you.
Color Harmony Is Not a Trend
Color harmony is not subjective. It's not a trend. And it's not something to crowdsource.
Yes, there is nuance. But it comes from a trained human eye, not personal preference. It's a calibrated skill, a precise understanding of how tone, design, and essence work together.
Awareness is a beautiful first step. But clarity requires depth. Discernment. Precision. And the willingness to see yourself accurately, not conveniently.
Because your light isn't superficial, it's something that can either be amplified…or diminished.
And when it's reflected correctly...everything changes.
